No. 01 · Why whitelisting

Why run ads through a creator's account?

Because people stop for creators, not logos. A whitelisted ad shows the creator's name and face in the feed, while your budget, targeting and tracking run behind it. You get the trust of an organic post with the reach and control of paid social.

+19%

higher click-through rate for Meta Partnership Ads than the same brands’ licensed UGC run from the brand handle.

134%

higher completion rate for TikTok Spark Ads than standard in-feed ads, in TikTok’s own A/B test.

No. 02 · Platforms

What is whitelisting called on each platform?

Same idea, different names. Names and set-up steps change, so we confirm the current process with each platform before launch.

01

TikTok · Spark Ads

Boosts a creator's organic post with your budget and targeting. The creator shares an authorisation code for each post.

02

Instagram and Facebook · Partnership ads

The creator approves your brand to promote their post as an ad, shown from both handles.

03

YouTube · Partnership Ads

Runs ads with a creator's video, with the creator's authorisation.

04

Usage rights only

If a creator can't grant ad access, we license the video so it runs from your own account.

No. 03 · Compare the options

Run creator ads in-house, through a platform, or with us?

FAQ

What do buyers ask before whitelisting?

Straight answers to the questions we hear on sales calls.

What is creator whitelisting?

The creator gives your brand permission to run paid ads from their handle. The ad shows the creator's name and profile, with your targeting, budget and tracking behind it.

Is whitelisting the same as Spark Ads or Partnership ads?

Yes, those are the platform names for it. TikTok calls it Spark Ads, Meta calls it Partnership ads on Instagram and Facebook, and YouTube has Partnership Ads.

Does the creator keep control of their account?

Yes. Access is limited to ad permissions, for an agreed period. The creator never hands over their login.

How long can we run the ads?

As long as the agreement says. On TikTok the creator picks the authorisation period when they create the Spark Ads code, for example 30, 60 or 365 days. On Meta, access lasts until the creator removes it. We write the period into the creator terms either way, and ads stop when it ends.

What is the difference between usage rights and whitelisting?

Usage rights let you run a creator's video from your own account. Whitelisting runs it from the creator's account. We agree and price the two separately.

Do creators charge extra for whitelisting?

Usually, yes. Paid rights are a separate fee from the post itself. Industry guides put it at around 20–25% of the creator’s post fee for each 30 days of paid use, and it changes with the platforms and how long you run the ad. We agree it in writing before launch.

Whose ad account is used?

Yours. Spend runs from your ad account, so you own the data and see every cost. We manage the campaign with the access you grant.

Which platforms support it?

TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, and YouTube all have a form of it. Names and set-up steps differ, and we handle the steps.

How fast can we start?

We send ten matched creators within 48 hours, free. If you want new posts, most campaigns go live 3–4 weeks after you approve the creators. If the creator post already exists, ad access can usually be set up within a few days of the terms being signed.

How much does creator whitelisting cost?

Campaigns start from €10,000 a month for creator fees and management, plus your ad spend. Bigger or longer briefs are quoted after a short call.
